Who We Are
Jesus once said,
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Guided by these words of our Lord, the purpose of our congregation is to offer a welcoming home to teach and spread God’s true word to our members, visitors, as well as our surrounding communities. We are to promote spiritual growth through individual and group ministries, fellowship, our Christian schools, and community outreach. We serve the Lord by supporting those in need, strengthen each other through our congregation, thanking God for all he has done and continue learning about all His works each week.
What we believe
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator of all things. God the Son is the Redeemer of all things. God the Holy Spirit sanctifies all things.
This truth is made known in the Bible; the Old Testament, which promises the coming Savior, and the New Testament, which tells of this Savior who has come.
Grace alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
Faith alone: By Jesus’ suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, He purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God the Holy Spirit creates faith in Jesus and gives people forgiveness through Him.
Scripture alone: The Bible is God’s inspired (God gave His chosen writers the thoughts that they expressed) and inerrant (it is without error) Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
The Word of God conveys the forgiveness of sins and strengthens our faith.
A sacrament is a sacred act instituted by God, in which God Himself has joined His Word of promise to a visible element, and by which He offers, gives, and seals the forgiveness of sins earned by Christ.
- The Sacrament of Holy Baptism: Baptism is not just plain water, but it is water included in God’s command and combined with Gods Word. See Matthew 28:19
- The Sacrament of the Altar: Holy Communion is the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and drink. See Matthew 26:17, Mark 14:12, Luke 22:7, 1 Corinthians 10:14, and 1 Corinthians 11:17.
St. Paul's is a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
Holy Communion
As we participate in the Lord’s Supper, we believe that we partake of the true Body and Blood of Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine as instituted by Jesus Himself (See Matthew 26:17, Mark 14:12, and Luke 22:7). In the Lord’s Supper we receive the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation, while making a public confession of Christ as our Lord and Savior.

- Do you believe that Jesus is present in the sacrament for the forgiveness of your sins?
- Do you plan, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to turn away from sin?
